JV & Varsity Big Winners At Beckman

Senior Donald Dalton (#34) and his teammates beat Beckman 13-1
On another beautiful day in southern California, CDM's Varsity continued its run through the Pacific Coast League with a 13-1 triumph over host Beckman. With the win, CDM improves its record to 7-1 overall, 5-0 in Pacific Coast League play. Sophomore Jack Ortlieb (So./Attack) led the Sea Kings with five goals and an assist, while his brother Michael (Jr./Goalie) recorded a shut-out during his time between the pipes, adding ten saves to his impressive stockpile over the first eight games.

In the JV game, five freshman led the way for the Sea Kings in a stellar 8-3 victory. Charlie Coffman (Fr./Attack) and Braden Brahs (Fr./Midfield) each scored 3 goals, while Max Premer (Fr./Midfield) added two more. Jay Damon recorded two crucial assists, while Kaden Ebbinga (Fr./Goalie) continued his impressive performance in goal for CDM.

The Sea Kings return home on Wednesday to battle the Monte Vista Mustangs (Danville, CA) at 3:15 PM. While CDM was upending Beckman yesterday, Monte Vista soundly defeated Los Alamitos 11-2. The JV resumes play on Wednesday with a game at Los Alamitos at 4:00 PM.
