CDM lacrosse family mourns loss of Jon Kottke
The CDM Lacrosse Familiy mourns the loss of one of the program's Founding Fathers - Jon Kottke
Jon Kottke, father of standout defenseman Kevin Kottke (CDM Class of 2008), died on August 14 of an apparent heart attack.
"We were all deeply saddened to hear of Jon's death," said CDM head coach G.W. Mix. "He was instrumental in the establishment of lacrosse on our campus and a driving force behind youth and high school sports throughout the Newport Beach community. Every young man who picks up a stick and puts on a CDM jersey owes a debt of gratitude to Jon Kottke."
"On behalf of the entire Sea King lacrosse family, I want to extend our heartfelt condolences to Kevin and his mom Rose. We all share their sadness and sense of loss. Jon will forever be a valuable part of our program's history."
