CDM Claims 2016 CIF South Division Championship

CDM Senior attackman Jordan Greenhall celebrates with teammates Will Favreau and Eric Fries
CDM won its second CIF South Division title since 2012 by defeating St. Margaret's 11-9 in the championship game. The win was the Sea Kings' second over the Tartans this season, the first was an 8-7 victory on March 29th.

"This has been a very special season," commented CDM head coach G.W. Mix. "These kids have done a tremendous job all year of making their own indelible mark on the program. This win is the exclamation point!"

Senior attackman Jordan Greenhall and junior midfielder Will Favreau each recorded four goals and an assist to lead all Sea Kings scorers. Greenhall finished the 2016 season with a remarkable total of 56 goals and 44 assists for 100 points. Senior Stephen Von Der Ahe notched two goals and an assist, bringing his season-ending tally to 93 points (68 goals, 25 assists).
