Dalton & Keasey named 2011 All Orange County
Donald Dalton (Sr./Defense) and Michael Keasey (Jr./Midfield) were named All-County for 2011
On Monday afternoon, May 23rd, the Orange County Chapter of US Lacrosse announced its 2011 All-County Teams for Orange County boys lacrosse. CDM senior defenseman Donald Dalton was named to the First Team and junior midfielder Michael Keasey was named to the Second Team. All-County selections are made by a vote of all Orange County head coaches.
"Our kids work very hard at their craft," commented CDM head coach G.W. Mix. "It is always nice to see some of them recognized by other coaches as being among the better players in the County. While these selections, by the nature of the process, are never completely objective or without bias, Donald and Michael are clearly two of the best players in Southern California and well-deserving of the honor they received. They represent the spirit of CDM lacrosse very well."
Dalton was the 2011 Pacific Coast League's Player of the Year and finished the season with 8 goals and 3 assists. Keasey was also a first Team All-PCL midfielder, ending his junior campaign with 52 goals and 15 assists. Dalton has signed a National Letter of Intent to play lacrosse at Drexel University (Philadelphia, PA) next year.
Southern Section champion Foothill led all teams with six First Team selections and one Second Team recipient. St. Margaret's had two players on each team and the 2011 Orange County Coach of the Year. El Toro had four players named to the Second Team.
