CDM Burns Woodbridge 14-2
On what seems to have been a rare sunny afternoon, Corona del Mar played its first home game of the 2011 season and defeated Woodbridge 14-2 in Pacific Coast League play. The win enabled the Sea Kings to improve their PCL record to 2-0 and their overall record to 4-1.
Junior midfielder Michael Keasey opened the scoring with two extra-man goals in the first quarter and finished with 4 goals. Junior Hunter Molnar had a busy afternoon, recording 3 goals and four assists, while the sophomore attack tandem of Casey Mix (1 goal, 4 assists) and Jack Ortlieb (3 goals) added four more goals to the tally.
The Sea Kings look to improve their record to 5-1 (3-0) on Wednesday afternoon at 3:15 PM when they take on University in another Pacific Coast League game.
