CDM Names Tri-Captains For Fall 2012
Senior Brett Nelson was named team captain, along with fellow seniors Casey Mix and Jack Ortlieb.
On Wednesday afternoon, the CDM lacrosse coaching staff named Casey Mix (Attack/Sr.), Brett Nelson (Midfield/Sr.) and Jack Ortlieb (Attack/Sr.) tri-captains for the 2012-13 pre-season.
"We were pleased to make this announcement to the team this afternoon," commented CDM head lacrosse coach G.W. Mix. "In year's past, we have typically had a returning captain who was elected as a junior and we have named a captain in the fall. This year, without any returning captains, we felt it was important to name the right guy for the fall. After much discussion, it became very apparent to us there were three guys equally worthy of the position, so we named all three."
"Our lacrosse teams values leadership. Over the past several years, these three have consistently demonstrated the qualities we have come to expect from the leaders in our program. They are dedicated to the greater good, work extremely hard and make the necessary sacrifices."
